Development Securities

Development Securities PLC is a property development and investment company. Its principal objective is to carry out substantial, complex developments in a risk averse manner with a view to adding maximum value for its shareholders.

Development Securities recognises that as a responsible company, it is important to consider how they can best incorporate the principles of sustainable development into their business activities.
They have been working closely with dcarbon8 to measure the embodied carbon footprint of One Kingdom Street, a building located in Paddington Central, London. This measurement has provided a benchmark so that reductions can be targeted in future developments. To this end, dcarbon8 is working with Development Securities to make Two Kingdom Street London’s first Planet Positive building.

Development Securities have also adopted a sustainability policy and sustainability objectives, and in October 2005 they issued their second sustainability report. This report is a statement of their approach, commitment, and achievements, and sets out their thinking for the future.
